Bagru Prints

Bagru print gets its name from Bagru town, located near Jaipur, Rajasthan. This craft has been practiced for around 400–500 years and is linked with the Chhipa community.

Chhipa artisans are skilled in traditional dyeing and hand block printing techniques. The craft is preserved through generations by skilled artisan families.

These artisans use hand-carved wooden blocks and natural dyes to create prints. Traditional riverside washing techniques help achieve soft fabrics and rich colours. The motifs are inspired by flowers, leaves, vines, and geometric patterns.

Every Bagru print has slight variations, making each piece unique and handmade. Largely made in premium cotton fabric, Bagru prints are extensively used in everyday formal and casual wear.
